Are you a tinker looking to help out the community on your spare time? MetroVan Repair Cafe are looking for volunteers to help out. Events are held every month at different locations. To find out where you can attend, take a look at their event page.



Who are they?

MetroVan Repair Cafe (MVRC) is a non-profit organization that host "community gatherings where visitors get their broken household items fixed, FREE OF CHARGE, with the help of experienced volunteers. At a typical event, you can expect to see fixing stations for Electronics, Small Appliances, Textile, Jewelry, Woodwork and Bikes. Anything that is broken is welcome.

The idea originated from the Netherlands, it has since become an international movement.We at MVRC are working on bringing Repair Cafés to a community near you, throughout Lower Mainland."



Looking to volunteer?

Everyone and anyone are welcomed.

They are currently looking for:

  • electronics
  • jewelry
  • shoes
  • small appliances
  • bikes
  • books
  • stringed instruments
  • woodwork
  • textile

They are also looking for First Aid attendant with OFA certification.
