BCIT IEEE is a not-for-profit student branch consisting a bunch of student leaders in the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineer program.

Their main goal is to offer students resources to develop their skills and feed their passion for engineering.

Their team provides opportunities to build relationships through networking events and industry tours, while also developing skills through workshops and competitions.

The RC Classic event is one of the largest events hosted by the BCIT IEEE community. This event brings together a variety of engineering post-secondary students from across the lower mainland. At this event, you can find students who build radio controlled, high powered, low powered and automated cars. There will be a judging phase at the end of the event where judges scores the students based on creativity, ingenuity and practicality.

Their event this year is hosted on January 15th, 2020 at BCIT Burnaby Campus:

Great Hall (SE2)

Burnaby Campus
3700 Willingdon Avenue
Burnaby, B.C., V5G 3H2

If you are interested in joining the competition with your team, you can sign up at their site here. There is a $20 registration fee per team but is free if you just want to sit back and watch.
