FIRST Robotics Competition
FIRST Robotics Competition is the ultimate Sport for the Mind as it combines the rigors of science and technology into the process of designing and building robots. High school students from ages 14 to 18 compete in this competition and all skill levels are welcome. Competitors compete to design a team “brand”, hone their teamwork skills and build and program robots to compete for a variety of field games. They call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have.” Volunteer mentors lend their time and experiences to participants to provide guidance and experiences throughout the competition. Over $80 million in scholarships are available and based on a variety of achievements that a person does throughout the competition.

Best wishes to Prince of Wales Secondary School’s robotics team; P.O.W.E.R, number 6719 who are starting their 3rd season and working hard to compete in the World Championship. Although they are a relatively young team, they are growing every day as they continuously grow their team and the number of sponsorships they receive.
