Description

This is a general purpose contact cleaner for applications requiring lubrication. It is a fast-drying, plastic-safe solvent cleaner that leaves a thin film of dry electronic grade silicone behind.

The solvent system effectively dissolves oil and organic residues, and assists the removal of oxidation with a brush. Also, it is fast evaporating, so serviced devices can quickly be returned to use.

The silicone provides lubrication, preventing wear and tear, as well as a layer of protection from oxidation and the elements. It is very thermally stable.  It will not significantly dry out over time and has a maximum service temperature of 200ºC (392 ºF). It is non-conductive, so shorts are not a concern, yet it goes on so thin it does not significantly inhibit electrical connections. As well, the dry lubrication makes it better for dusty environments than mineral oil alternatives.

This product is useful in a variety of electronics applications such as contacts, connectors, jacks, switches, and battery terminals. It is also useful for lubricating delicate sliding metal parts, such as telescoping antennas.
