Function introduction

This kit is a circuit for a doorbell that can make a "ding" sound. It is composed of a time base circuit integrated block and peripheral components. It has beautiful and realistic sound quality, simple and easy installation and adjustment, low cost and low power consumption. The core IC is the time base circuit integrated block 555, which constitutes an stable multivibrator. Press the button S1 (installed on the door), the oscillator oscillates, and the speaker makes a "ding" sound. When the button is released, the speaker makes a "dong" sound.

NE555 and R1, R2, R3, D1, D2, C1 in the circuit diagram form a multivibrator. S1 is the push button switch of the Ding Dong doorbell. Usually the push button switch is in the off state. At this time, D1 is not turned on and D2 is reverse cutoff, so the 4th pin of NE555 is always at a low level. Because the 4th pin of NE555 is the reset pin, it is reset when connected to a low level, so there is no output at the 3rd pin and the speaker does not sound. When S1 is closed, D2 and D2 are forward-conducted, and the voltage across C1 increases. At this time, the 4th pin of NE555 is a high level and cannot be reset. D2, R2, R3 and NE555 and C2 form a multivibrator, f = 1/0.7 (R+2R3)C2 is approximately equal to 1013Hz (R is the sum of the electrical values of D2 and R2, about 47K), the oscillator oscillates, and the speaker makes a "ding" sound. When the S1 button is released, R1, R2, R3, C2 and NE555 form a multivibrator, f=0.7/(R1+R2+2R3)C2 is approximately equal to 760Hz, the oscillator oscillates, the speaker emits a "dong" sound, and the fully charged C1 begins to discharge. After the discharge is completed, the NE555 pin 4 is reset to a low level, and the speaker does not sound.
