MATTER3D, 3D PRINTER FIL. PERFORMANCE ABS, 1.75MM 1KG MATTE RED
Related products
Description
Matter3D’s Performance ABS is a high impact, high temperature, and FDA approved (food and beverage use) material. Performance ABS prints with a clean matte finish and little to no warpage. The material also has low off-gassing of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). It is ideal for end-use parts or other applications where high-strength and high-heat properties are desired.
Matter3D’s Performance ABS is optimized to enable 3D printing of small parts without necessarily having a print enclosure. The low warpage characteristics of our Performance ABS make it an ideal candidate for large, technical fabrication jobs. The low number of VOCs produced during printing emit almost no odor; however, appropriate ventilation is still recommended. Matter3D’s Performance ABS is compatible with our Recycled HIPs filament and limonene solvent for soluble supports.
ABS is moisture sensitive. Therefore, our recommendation is to dry the material for 3 - 4 hours at < 65 °C (higher temperatures will melt the glue in the spool). This practice ensures bubble free, high-strength prints. In our experience, best results are achieved when printing small (< 1000 cm3) parts at 260 – 280 °C, on a heated bed at 110 °C. An enclosure is ideal for larger prints for good layer adhesion and minimal distortion.
Annealing
Matter3D's Performance ABS/ASA are not annealable. This is a result of the lower crystallinity of the bulk polymer.
Annealing of this product will result in warping and/or shrinkage.
High Quality Prints
Matter3D's Filament stands out for its high speed printing, industry-leading tolerances, and excellent appearance. Experience the benefits of smooth and flawless prints with superior quality that exceeds expectations.
