ETHERNET CABLE, CAT7, S/FTP, 24AWG, 10GBPS, BLUE, 15FT
Description
-
PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS
- Twisted Pair (S/STP S/FTP)
- Interference protection
- Slim and space efficient
- A secure, reliable connection
- Exceptional speed and reliability
- For wired home and office networks
Twist Pairing (S/STP) Screened Shielded
S/STP S/FTP has a foil with a braided shield over it, and that braided material could be copper (superior for shielding) or a combination of copper, aluminum or steel. It will provide a better shield for a wider spectrum of low frequency and high frequency electric magnetic interference since foil is better against high frequency and braided shield is better against low. A double foil will protect extra against high frequencies if you know that's what you're up against.
Uses for Cat 7 Cable
There are two types of Cat7 cables. One of them is a cross-over cable that is used to connect two devices directly to each other, eg. a PC directly to another PC or a Hub to another Hub. However, the majority of Cat7 cables are straight through cables, and these are used to connect computers to hubs and switches. You can read more about this on the computer network cable page.
Cat-7 network cables can be used for 1000Base-TX, 100Base-T & 10Base-T networking and Cat-7a cables can go up to 10Gbase-T (10-Gigabit Ethernet). It is important to remember that your network will not perform at Gigabit speeds, unless all of the components are validated at Gigabit speeds. So you will need not only gigabit cables, but you will need a gigabit switch, router or hub and also gigabit network cards.
Flexible & Durable
All cables are encased in a durable PVC jacket for maximum protection and flexibility. The PVC coating protects the cable against water, dust, and other contaminants to prevent network connectivity errors and keep your devices running smoothly.
Various Application
Specifically designed for data centers, server applications and other high-performance computer networking applications; Ideal for gaming devices, Xbox, Routers, Switches.
